Home Sweet Home

Hi, guys!  Today I’ve got a canvas that I made for the Basically Bare Design Blog featuring a few of my favorite Basically Bare embellies.  I love the heck out of doing canvases now, since they can be endlessly customized to your liking.  So let’s get on with the project, yes?

I started off with the sun and clouds from the Celestial Shapes set.  I covered the sun with paper and painted the felt clouds with a metallic white paint.  Then I added Glossy Accents to the sun…

…and stitched seed beads onto the clouds.

I covered a Happy Little House embellie with paper and inked its edges, then doodled on some windows and flowers.

I used some un-tinted Glass Beads medium for the smoke coming out of the chimney.

I painted the trunks of some Happy Little Trees embellies (and doodled my and my husband’s initials on the trunks in a fit of girly-ness), and colored the tree tops with metallic acrylic paint and Glimmer Mist for some color and sparkle.

The bushes at the bottom are made from a felt tree top shape from the Happy Little Trees set, cut into bits.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
